Hans Kline - Interior & Hospitality Design for Porch+Vine
After graduating from the University of Virginia Architecture School, Hans initially worked primarily as a commercial architect. Over time, he realized his true passion wasn't just in designing buildings—it was in curating the experiences that unfold within them. Today, he transforms interiors into journeys: cozy homes with curated furnishings, stylish hotels that offer an escape, and sophisticated lounges crafted to inspire warm, flavorful gatherings.
His work now centers on hospitality design—creating thoughtful environments for restaurants, hotels, resorts, spas, and more. With over 25 years of trusted partnerships, Hans’s clients keep coming back, viewing him as their design partner, confidante, and artistic visionary who turns ideas into immersive, beautifully crafted spaces.
When he’s off the clock, you’ll find Hans on the tennis courts in summer or, in winter, coaching as a PSIA-certified ski instructor at Virginia’s local resorts. His golden retriever, SugarBear, claims all other free moments—exploring vintage markets and furniture fairs in search of quirky, meaningful pieces.
